Alan Gómez Zúñiga, gives life to his art by using a wide arrange of materials that he finds in his day to day activities like branches, wood or other recyclables. He works within the artistic tendency known as Alegría Chilena (Chilean Joy), an artistic style that proposes to rescue daily elements from the surrounding environment and to re-purpose them in the medium with the intention to make the viewer smile.
Alan, brings back the tradition of decorating with simple elements, transforming the experience and the final product into beauty and joy in each of his creations, always keeping in mind the moment and environment in which the creation takes place.
His work is the vivid demonstration of cheer, love and joy, a whirlwind of feelings and ideas that permeate his work process and final creations, always highlighting the simple over the complicated, a recurring motif in Alan’s work.
Alan uses various tones and elements, which combine to form a chromatic vibrancy, allowing for diverse lights and textures.
In his most recent phase, Alan has opted for his own experiences and journeys as an inspiration for his creations.
Alan, has made artistic contributions to private events and celebrations.
He participated, along with several other artists, in the exhibition on Madeline Island, Wisconsin in 2017
